Why I Coach- Megan Brineman
My Why!
Over the years I have played a lot of sports and experienced good and bad coaches and just how that can impact an athlete mentally and physically. As a coach, it is my goal to give back everything I have learned and experienced as an athlete.
I understand that everyone learns differently and responds differently to coaching styles but I strongly believe that does not mean they should be treated poorly for having different ways of learning. Treating an athlete poorly only makes me a poor coach. Being a coach is taking on the responsibility of being a role model and playing an uplifting role for an athlete. As a coach for your athletes, it is my job to help them tap into their unseen potential. It is my job to teach them that they have potential no matter athletic ability and I expect them to put in the work to see that potential. Talent can get any athlete far but it’s the amount of work they put in that will truly make them successful.
I coach so athletes learn to believe in themselves and to give athletes a positive role model. I coach to help athletes recognize their potential and provide them the skills and confidence to succeed in their sports. My goal is to give athletes the coach I never had and needed.
Why Parisi?
I chose to work with Parisi because they have a very similar coaching philosophy as I do. They believe in having a positive training experience that improves speed of movement through strength and building character, regardless of ability or economic status. Both Parisi and I believe EVERY athlete is important and as coaches we truly care. Parisi has group training for athletes but the groups are kept small allowing for athletes to get the attention they need and deserve from coaches and experts. Their training is cutting edge and is proven to work.
Last but not least Parisi is the National Leader in Sports Performance training and has been for the last 25+ years! Parisi continues to send athletes to the NFL draft combine and have several of them drafted. The Cincinnati Bengals and NY Jets also hire them for specialized training. An athlete, such as All Pro Tight End Greg Olson for the Carolina Panthers, was a Parisi athlete since grade school. Tobin Heath is an outstanding mid-fielder for the US Women’s Soccer team. Heath was also FIFA Cup Silver and Gold medalist and a 2x Olympic gold medalist. As you can see, Parisi has been a part of some the best professional athletes training programs. I wanted to bring my expertise into a sports performance program where I could be the best coach possible for youth athletes and I felt that Parisi was the place to be.
